The Hope is in the Science

2020 Fiesta 5K

Love for Sandra Lee

Hey there friends and family! As most of you know, my mother, Sandra Langrehr, died back in September of 2005 with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Her death left a hole in many hearts and had a huge impact on many lives. I try to do what I can to honor her and remember her always, sending my love and prayers to her daily and donating time/energy and/or money to ALS organizations and clinics whenever I can.

I'm not sure why I never did something like this in the past, but I want to sieze this opportunity to bring my friends and family together (even at a distance) for a common cause. Please join my team (Love for Sandra Lee), or any team, and run/walk this virtual 5K whenever you can from wherever you are! Easiest 5K ever, right?? What makes it even easier is that you can take as long as you need, and you have until the end of June to finish the distance (which you can track on any app you may already have or want to download). OR if you simply wish to donate to our cause, you are welcome to donate whatever you can on our team page. I truly hope you'll join me for the Fiesta 5K during the month of May (and even June) to raise funds and awareness for the Robert Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins.

In memory of you, Mommy: Sandra Lee Langrehr
