Running for cArLSon
Well, it's time for the Fiesta 5K again. I was a competitive runner for over 35 years, but about 12 years ago my running started going downhill dramatically. I began tripping and falling in almost every race. I thought I was just clumsy, but in October of 2008 I was diagnosed with ALS.
The last 9 Fiesta 5Ks have been an awesome experience. We have raised over $100,000 as a team, thanks to the generosity and support of our team members, family and friends!
I have been able to volunteer and participate in three clinical trials for ALS. Your participation in the Fiesta 5K helps pay for this type of research---So "Thank You!"
There still is no cure or treatment for ALS but events like this give us hope.
Thanks for all your support!
