Sixteen years ago my dad, Gray Smith, Sr. lost his battle with ALS. On May 6, 2017, my family will be participating in his memory in the Packard Center's Fiesta 5K and Walk! All proceeds from the event will benefit the Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins.
The Robert Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins is the first international collaborative research center that is focused entirely on ALS. The scientists and clinicians associated with the Center are working hard every day to understand the causes of ALS, investigate effective treatments for it, and find a cure for this disease. It's a unique organization on the cutting edge of ALS research and a worthy charity. The Packard Center is supported entirely by philanthropy, and needs our help. Currently there is no cure. Please help us give hope!
Please do anything you can to participate by joining my team (click on "Join Team" below), registering as an individual or making a donation on our behalf. You can make a donation by clicking on "Support Gray's Gang." Our efforts will help make a big difference!
