The Hope is in the Science.

Welcome to My Personal Page

On May 11, 2017, I lost my dad, Ward Smith, after a valiant three year battle with ALS. Though he was taken from us too soon, he lived a wonderful life full of joy, humor, and gratitude. He had so much love to give to those around him, and it never diminished despite the hardship he faced in his final years. I miss him constantly, but he is my daily inspiration.

Last year, our family and friends raised over $20,000 for ALS research under his leadership. It was so important to him to fight for a cure for this awful disease, even though he knew that it would not save him. He wanted to support other families facing an ALS diagnosis so that they could find hope in the face of despair.

Please help me support the Robert Packard Center fulfill its mission to find a cure for ALS, in loving memory of my dad. Whatever you can give will help. Thank you for your generosity!
