Help Find a Cure for ALS

ALS has had a devastating effect on both my family and the one I married into. This walk is just one small way to raise awareness about the disease and support those affected. My walk is dedicated to my father, who we lost too, too soon during the summer of 2013, and is also in memory of my grandfather-in-law (the other namesake for Team Big Walt & Mike).

Please consider supporting me and my team, to help fund important research being done by the Robert Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins, the only international research organization dedicated solely to the disease.

Ways You Can Help

-Join Team Big Walt & Mike
-Donate to me or another team member
-Encourage family and friends to support the team
-Cheer our team on via social media
-Come out to Baltimore to watch the big race
-Offer to bring over pain relievers the day after the race

Why Should You Help?

My dad didn't ask to get this devastating disease. Yet, just three years after diagnosis and a very brave struggle, he lost his battle with ALS. A huge personality and heart to match, he loved his family, led in his professional life and served in his community. Help make sure this doesn't happen to another father, relative or friend.

Donations go to The Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins, which enables the world’s best ALS scientists to collaborate and access funding so that they may continue work to rapidly develop new treatments and find a cure for ALS. The hope is in the science.
