Friends and Family,
As many of you know, three years ago my good friend Andy Nelson was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. People who suffer from ALS lose their voluntary muscle movement. Andy is an athlete, a surfer, and an outdoorsman. This disease has changed all that. Team Nelly formed two years ago to help us deal with the devastating news of his diagnosis. Andy ran in that race. Today, he is confined to a wheelchair and is loosing his ability to speak. Andy and his wife Alex have taught me what it means to be resilient and brave.

On May 3, 2014, I will be participating in the Packard Center's Fiesta 5K and Walk! All proceeds from the event will benefit the Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins.

The Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins is a non-profit organization devoted solely to finding treatments and a cure for ALS. It's a unique organization on the cutting edge of ALS research and a worthy charity. The Packard Center is supported entirely by philanthropy, and needs our help. Currently there is no cure…help us give hope!

I hope you will consider supporting me, and the important work of the Packard Center, by making a contribution or joining our team as a participant. Please donate what you can by clicking on "Support Ereni" or "Make a Gift" at the right. Our efforts will help make a big difference!

Thank you!
